Description: This Assembly will fix any drive or clutch problem you have.
Replacement Instructions: Its a simple fix. All that needs to be done is:
Remove Chuck: Remove the chuck screw inside the chuck (Clock-Wise) Then place your drill on the work bench with the chuck facing you. Now find the largest Allen Wrench you can with the short side sticking inside the chuck. Tighten the chuck jaws onto the Allen Wrench. With a medium sized hammer, strike a quick hard blow downward (Counter clock-wise) on the Allen Wrench handle. This will spin your chuck loose.
Removing old Gearbox: by opening up drill housing by removing the 8) T-10 Torx screws. Remove old broken gearbox assembly by holding onto the motor and turn the gearbox with the other hand while pulling it apart. Assemble new gearbox onto motor making sure the marker streak is facing up towards top of drill. Put shifter back into position making sure it sits in the groove of the moveable gear inside the gearbox otherwise it won't shift properly and sound like its stripping. Now put collar and metal clip onto gearbox making sure the drill symbol on the collar is facing the top of the drill. Now just close the housing back up, put the chuck back on and your drill is back in service.
